How to Setup a Mailing List Feature.

Use this step-by-step guide to make the change confidently and keep your Gidstack page ready to share.

Follow these steps

  1. Add a Mailing list block

Open Link in Bio, choose your page, select Add block and choose Mailing list. Set the title, optional description and button label; Subscribe is the default button text.

  2. Choose where subscribers go

Under Choose your preferred information destination, keep Gidstack selected or choose a connected Mailchimp or Kit (ConvertKit) destination. External destinations require Pro or Plus and a successful connection in Integrations. If a provider is unavailable, connect it or explicitly choose Gidstack before publishing.

  3. Review the fields and consent disclosure

The visitor form shows Full name, which is optional, and Email address, which is required. It displays: By subscribing, you agree to receive email updates from this creator. There is no separate email-consent checkbox; the visitor deliberately selects Subscribe to submit a valid email and consent. Opening the page or typing into a field does not subscribe anyone.

  4. Add legal information if needed

Custom legal info lets you add your own legal text and an optional URL. It appears alongside the standard subscription disclosure and does not replace the visitor's deliberate Subscribe action. Phone-number forms are separate and retain their own explicit text-message consent checkbox.

  5. Publish and verify a consented signup

Save the block and publish the page. On the public page, use an email address you control and intentionally select Subscribe. Editor previews do not collect subscribers. Wait for the success message; if an error appears, correct the issue and retry. Check saved subscribers and, for an external destination, delivery status: saving a contact in Gidstack alone does not prove the provider received it.
