How to set up Get tipped
This guide explains how to add the Get tipped feature to your Link in Bio page, set gift prices, and understand how visitor payments work.
Follow these steps
Add Get tipped to Your Page
Open Link in Bio, select the page you want to update, choose Add block, and select Get tipped. Gidstack's built-in checkout does not require an external payment URL or an account with Buy Me a Coffee or Ko-fi.
Select the Gift and Set Its Price
Under Choose a gift, select the gift you want to offer, then enter the Gift name and Description. Set the Price per gift in Nigerian naira (NGN). Visitors can use the quantity controls to select how many gifts they want to send, and the total amount will update based on their selection.
Save and Publish the Block
Save the block to activate its Gidstack checkout. Preview the page to review the setup, then publish your changes so visitors can see the block and its price. Saving it as a draft does not update the live page.
Check Payment Availability
If the public block displays Tips are temporarily unavailable, check your account's payment eligibility and payout setup. Creating a tip block or upgrading to a paid plan does not automatically approve identity verification, bank details, or payouts.
Understand the Visitor Checkout
The visitor selects the quantity and chooses Send with the displayed amount. They then provide their Full name and Email address, add a message if they wish, and enter a phone number when required. Review tip shows the tip amount, checkout fees, and total before the final Pay button opens the secure Paystack checkout.
Confirm the Payment
The Get tipped feature is designed for one-time gifts. Gidstack uses payment evidence from Paystack to confirm a successful payment, so simply returning from checkout does not mean the payment went through. Platform fees vary by plan, while payment-processing fees are separate. A confirmed tip also does not guarantee that the money will be available for immediate bank withdrawal.
